Same here, same problem. The balm only makes matters worse after the shave is over. So I buy the cologne for the scent and use the cream from time to time.

The creams work well for me, but the TF aftershave balms irritate my skin, even the unscented.

I guess I have tough skin as the irritation goes away after a minute or two with me.

I'm a huge fan of T & H, the Grafton line was the first cream and aftershave balm I bought when I got into DE wet shaving, and both products are still my favorites, I use them at least 2 or 3 times a week. I have the 1805, almond, and west indian lime creams as well, all excellent.

I started with 1805 many years ago, and have stuck with it throughout.
I am working my way through this T&H sampler pack right now.
It is really cool, you get a cologne sample of all their fragrances as well. Royalshave also has a pack without the colognes.

I am thinking of upgrading to the colognes just because I love the scents. I know it will happen at some point in the future.

My favorite is the West Indian Lime. Fantastic series from shampoo/shower gel and all the way to the cologne.

Clubman is also a favorite. Too bad they only have the cologne and aftershave...

+ 1 on getting the sampler. That way you get to try most all the scents. My favorite scent is Grafton, but I also like Trafalgar, 1805, the Sandalwood ASB and the Ultimate Comfort is an amazing performer when I need an unscented scent.

Next, I'm planning on picking up the Spanish Leather AS Splash... Love the cologne in that scent.
