I've got waaaay too many razors, nearly too many brushes and far too many rocks for sharpening. On aftershaves, however, I've tried a fair amount, but find that I use three for 90% of my shaves: Knize 10, Eau d'Emeraude and Floid Blue.

The Floid gets the most use, especially now in the summer. It's just fabulous. I don't think it's particularly "healing" the way the Emeraude is, but it's got a great cooling sensation and the smell is terrific without being overpowering. The packaging for it is also first class. As I've gotten older, this becomes more important to me. It's a hefty substantial bottle with a bakelite top that means business. The opening in the bottle dispenses just the right amount so there's not much waste. Is it worth 40 bucks? I suppose if you can afford it, then it is. The 400ml bottle I've got now is about 40% full after about 4 months of use and while i don't use it every day, I've also given away a half dozen samples to friends.

Also tried the Floid Black when it came out and while there was this pleasant peaches/pears scent to it, there was also some other chemical note to the scent that I couldn't get past. Wore it at least 5 times and finally had to get rid of it. Others like it, so judge for yourself. Very different from the Blue.

Floid is my go to A/S at this time, I use Floid Black or A/S Balm my wife likes the smell of those. I have all flavors Floid and like them all the Amber has a sweet smell, the Blue has a powder smell, and the Spanish versions all but the Black have the same smell or that's what my nose tells me. I don't think you can go wrong getting a bottle.

I have a bottle of Floid Vigaroso. But I like menthol. Feels like ice on my face. It's so refreshing, especially this time of year. My wife says I smell like a barbershop when I wear it. But you can't go wrong with any of the Floid after shaves.
