The steel from what Bruno told me is close to 01steel but has some stainless properties. Cant remember what steel he said specifically. Hopefully he still chime in and let us know. I have it in an old email somewhere.
The scale material its acrylic that you can pick the color and Tom still color match it. He also does really cool blanks intergrating wood and resin together. I have a matching silvertip brush on its way. And I think im going to get a bowl blank with this resin and maple burl.
I didnt refinish the blade myself . I will ask Val (thegentlemansden) were he gets his stuff. He is shipping itout to me soon so iwill have a shave review done as soon as possible-David

The polishing came out well, but I like the scales even more. The read and MOP combination goes well with the steel. I also think it is a nice touch to have the washers of the end pin very big and the pivot pin small. I can't really say why, but it does work very well.

It is 1.2842 aka O2.
It is definitely NOT stainless, but it is true that it is more stain resistant than O1 because there is some chromium in there. I notice the difference when grinding. O1 gets an orange sheen very quickly. O2 not so much, or at least much less. I also notice it gets water stains less quickly.
O2 also has less alloying than O1, and no tungsten. In my personal opinion and experience so far, I consider O2 superior to O1 for razors.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I think Jimbo is the current title holder, with 3 razors made by me
There is a contender for the crown though
In any case, it took a couple of days for SRD to put them online. They sold before I even knew they were available.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I'm not so sure that Bruno's Blade Club can be exclusive to razors alone,,, ,,in a few months there may be a new, tiny crown being worn,,,,,,,
