Dovo Inox was my first straight razor.
Is it over there or over yonder?

My first. A Dovo Best Quality 5/8 full hollow courtesy of SRD that I got just under two weeks ago.
Note: I don't count the two "fixer-uppers" from an antique mall that I bought in January to teach myself maintenance.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

Mine was a Dovo Prima Klang with violetwood scales.
The razor was sold over a year ago.David,

Thanked: 4206Great thread idea Steve.
My first: Boker Adonis.
An eBay impulse (full disclosure) inspired by a martini and a scene in Skyfall.
Saw this in original scales and thought $25 was a fair price for something I may or may not actually use. Cleaned it up losing the goldwash in the process due entirely to my ignorance at the time.
Watched Lynn Glen and everyone else's videos and tried a few times. Made myself tear up in the beginning it pulled so bad on my face. Went to a meet up in Tillsonberg, (McBladescar's digs). Met some really weird dudes that all drank to much, smoked to much, and swore like sailors on leave...
But they all looked incredibly well groomed,(jk) and had exotic stones and stories, and more razor shapes than I knew existed at the time.
Rick took my Adonis, and put it though the progression on his rocks with a skilled hand. I watched, learned, tried my own hand till I sort of 'got it' and went home to shave.
Ever since,, loved every stroke and always smile when this one comes up in my rotation.

This was my first straight, a JA Henckels 78 1/2. Plenty of patina on the blade but the scales were in excellent condition.
This is what the same razor looks like today..
