I have a question about a frosting/etching on my one and only W&B. Is there any way to revive it without damaging/removing it any further? Has anyone had expieriance with doing this? It is hard to make out in the pics but it is of an eagle with flying (american I think) flags on both sides and under the eagle on a banner it says "FREEDOM PROTECTED". My pics suck, couldn't realy capture what is fairly visible in person, but it is hidden somewhat by patina and or years of grime and build up. Any suggestions on how to proceed, or should I leave it alone?
Thanks
Louis.

the butcher shop
Hi, this is avery interesting razor on the picture.
I have a very similar one made by Bengall.
How old do you think it may be?
My take is an early 19 th c. pre industrial rvltn. Best regards.

Thanked: 1I have heard a lot about the Wade and Butcher razors. I have only had a chance to tune one of the four I just acquired. They aren't in perfect shape, however, I cannot wait to show you my progress. Will post some pictures soon.

I've been gone a long time, but now I'm back and plan on staying. It's nice to see that the old razor clubs are still open for business and thriving! I look forward to browsing through all of the fine razors on display!!
It looks like some of my old picture links have been broken, I will try to fix those as soon as I can....

Thanked: 1Help choosing a W&B
I am looking to acquire a W&B either 6/8 or 7/8 wedge. There are so many kinds and I am not sure what is better? Barbers notch, full wedge, ect. The prices seem to range quit a bit also. I would like to get a real nice restored one. Any ideas or suggestions?

Keep an eye on the Classifieds, maybe even post in the "Want To Buy" section, I'm sure something will come up. As far as the grind is concerned, it just depends on what you prefer. I don't really care for wedges myself....and I prefer spike points. Everyone's different. Take your time and let the razor choose you!
