Ahhh,I see.I always wanted to get a nice barber notch in say a 5/8 or close ,but was hesitant as I was worried I would gash myself up good.Tha'ts why I prefer my Dovo's with the rounded edges and all. Those W$B's are fine looking blades for sure. Thanks Holli sorry bout the confusion eh.

So ,sorry if this is off topic or in the wrong thread, but I had heard somewhere here that sheffields were hard to hone or keep an edge or something of that nature?Any feedback on that ?

Sheffield steel tends to be a bit softer than German, and def softer than Swedish or American. That can mean they don't hold their edge quite as well. Softer steel is usually easier to hone, but since Sheffie blades tend to be heavier grinds (meaning more metal needs to be removed for the initial honing), so they can take longer to hone.

    Default Can, uh, I join?

I won this W&B less than an hour ago. Looks like a nice faux frameback with scales unlike any I've seen before. Were these common to W&B? If not, does it provide an approximate date of production?
