I love the fact you felt completely content to leave the finish in its full patina. I can't wait to get pics of my 8/8ths I found at a gun show. I'm done with the sanding and polishing and have only the honing left to do.

I'm gonna add my w&b to this club.
    It's a 9/8 I recently restored for myself.
Blade is buffed/polished to mirror shine, orginal scales are polished to a shine and I used the original washers.
    Original lead wedge.

    Before

    After

Top notch Barbers use! Are the pin washers the original ones? If not where did you get them, they look great!

Thank you for your nice comments.
Indeed sir, the pin washers are the original ones.
I kept the whole razor original, so not other parts were involved.

The neatsfoot oil worked great on the scales. How long where they in there? You've done great, it's almost as beautiful as the one you did for me (he made some new scales out of horn in the original style and was also able to keep the lead wedge and original stacked washers). Enjoy the 2 framebacks and the Biedermeier project ;-)

Well, to begin with, I've put them in for about a full night. Took them out and cleaned them. Then tried to polish them and saw that the neatsfoot oil did not do what it's supposed to do. I layed the scales again in the oil and began sanding and polishing the blade. This took about a week. So the scales were a week in the oil and turned nice and black.

Thank you, I'll continue the project this afternoon.
