My blade is exactly the same, except mine got some light rust, most of the etching is ok and I will keep it that way, the ivory scales are spotless.
It shaves good!Hur Svenska stålet biter kom låt oss pröfva på.

Thanked: 2284Thought I would join the club by adding my 2 Wosties.
The first is a near perfect peerless. Hardly any hone wear, and perfect gold wash. Also the box is in super condition too.
Second, is my 7/8 IXL with some nice etching on the blade " Made expressly for America." Also, in its original scales.
Both shave amazing!!Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 22London Stores Ltd razor
Ah- very nice Bongo .... A little information on the London Store in Melbourne if interested: a tailoring business originally from Adelaide, they opened the London Store address etched on the blade in Bourke St, opposite the Post Office in 1904.
In 1922 the firm began construction on a new building nearby, which was completed 5 years later, at 349 Bourke st, Melbourne. So, the business address help to provide/confirm a date range for production of this razor , or at least when it was etched .... between 1904 - 1927 at most.
Regards
Joan
