Here's my Heljestrand Mk. 31. An antique store find. Definitely has replacement scales, and that is a project for another day, but it is a great shave!
I decided to look up the city of Eskilstuna on Wikipedia, and interestingly, it had the following observation: "Eskilstuna is sometimes called The Sheffield of Sweden. The origin of this comparison with Sheffield is unknown, even though both cities share the characteristics of being early industrialised and later struck with mass unemployment. There is probably a connection to the common history of Steel and steel-related industry."
I think we know the answer.

8/8 Erik Anton Berg Full Hollow, slightly muted Spike point
Now, this one is special. The Rademacher Forges in Eskilstuna, that started out as a cluster of 20 or so forges, amongst them JA Hellberg, CV Heljestrand & EA Berg, is still mostly intact today, the city of Eskilstuna has been very careful when making changes in the area.
Some are museums, cafes & such and some others houses knifemakers & similar. The "Bergska smedjan" is run today by a knifemaker.
As it turns out it was this gentleman who sold me this razor, so this one is not only NOS & huge, it has spent its entire life in the very forge were it was made in the very heart of the Swedish razor forges!
