of my three vintages so far, my favourite is my JR 6/8 near wedge - I love shaving with this- the balance just feels spot on

That tang is quite different than anything I have seen. How does it feel in the hand?

Actually it's superb for the XTG pass - the belly pinch's perfectly between the thumb and index finger, great control.
