Thanked: 416come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!

Hi Eric, gents,
Last week, My barber gave me his 3 Filarmonica's he had stored many years in his home. Sadly, they are in very bad shape. He had these razors since the 60's, when he was an apprentice barber. He tells me that he shaved so many people that the razors were rapidly worn out. Some days, he could shave between 10 and 20 men! That's why the Filly's I got are not 7/8, nor 6/8... they are a lot shorter than that. Except on #13. I believe once I re-establish the bevel again, it will be about 5/8.
This razor looks a lot like Eric's (crichton). It says Filarmonica 13 Jose Montserrat Pou. Doesn't mention the "Doble Temple". The etching is gone, so I can't tell what the gold wash said.
Eric, what's the size of your razor? Is it 6/8? Could there be different sizes for the #13 model? The most common size we see here for the razor is 7/8.
So, what are the production dates for these razors? The barber told me he had them since the 60's, when he went overseas to fight our "Vietnam version" war - the Colonial war in Africa.
Once I restore it, you gents are taking a look at it.

I had to do some real work on this one (was cracked) but is now in great shape. Cutting edge is about 2" IIRC.

Fine Filly club
[Well I must admit I thought those Filly's were awful expensive but I had to bite the bullet and find out what the fuss was about. Damn! I get it now. By far the best shaver in my collection is the #13. I haven't got the #14 yet but I'm pretty excited about that! Also kudos to the one who nailed the Sub Cero yesterday for ~$100. You just got me by a second or 2...
