) was around to watch me hone it and I went all Japanese kamikaze on it (to hard Japanese strokes in the beginning and as a result a funny and to wide bevel 
). Second time wasn't that good either, but now I'm very happy with the edge

I was surprised too, how good a razor it was.... after all , it's cast steel and very old, it shouldn't be in the top 10 range I think, but this one is.

In the day "Cast Steel" referred to Wootz , Damascus & tool steels, etc... Maybe not the casting you're thinking of .

Was hoping that my newest acquisition would allow me to become a part of the Band of Brothers. I dont know much about it and have yet to shave with it (literally just picked it up today), but it seems to be a nice razor!
