Yeah, tell me about it. First time around an Aussie guy (actually from SRP and all the Way from Sydney ) was around to watch me hone it and I went all Japanese kamikaze on it (to hard Japanese strokes in the beginning and as a result a funny and to wide bevel ). Second time wasn't that good either, but now I'm very happy with the edge

Bengall's Band of Brothers
Mine is just marked Bengal. Surprised me. It is a very nice razor.

I was surprised too, how good a razor it was.... after all , it's cast steel and very old, it shouldn't be in the top 10 range I think, but this one is.

In the day "Cast Steel" referred to Wootz , Damascus & tool steels, etc... Maybe not the casting you're thinking of .
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 25Was hoping that my newest acquisition would allow me to become a part of the Band of Brothers. I dont know much about it and have yet to shave with it (literally just picked it up today), but it seems to be a nice razor!
