Thanked: 2Hello all,
Just experienced my first shave with a Bengall today. I have to say I now know what all the fuss is about!
I am 3 months into me SR journey and can honestly say this was the best shave yet! Beats mt favorite Boker hands down.
I found my bengall in an opshop in Temuka New Zealand. It is etched on the blade " Made expressly for F.A. Harrison Hairdresser Temuka NZ". Picked it up for $60, took it back to Australia and into the care of johnmrson. John advised he felt it was never used and in "mint" condition. except a bit of surface rust on the tang.
Best

Thanked: 25Im quite sad to say that I may have to retract myself from the BoB. I found out last week that the Bengall I bought a while back has a warped blade. I was wondering why I couldnt get a good shave from it and another local guy who is helping me with it, confirmed that there was a warp in the blade. He's trying to get it shaveable but we'll have ti see how it goes. :/

Thanked: 2Hello all,
Just thought I would share a Bengall with some "Custom" scales i recently obtained from Ebay.
I dont know if can be saved but I am going to try! And yes I plan to leave it in these wonderful hand made scales!
