The scales are made from Elforyn - an ivory substitute apparently, although it's a long way off the real thing.

My Oldest Bengall. I'm not sure of the age. I really like the casting marks on the toe and tang. I used jojoba oil on the scales after taking the pics. I've had this several years and just honed it yesterday and shaved today. Very nice shave.

I managed to get them last night, not my first Bengall, I have one full hollow and an early cast one but i have never seen ones like this before - I am going to have to ebay some Dunhills to pay for them but I think they were worth it. They will be off to Neil Miller at the Strop Shop when he's able for some care and attention. I look forward to your comments and acceptance of my submission !Tycer likes this.

I thought so too one of those items that's a gamble but if I didn't take it then I would of always wondered what I would of missed. All upto what Neil makes of them, there are going to be some renovation issues tho, not so good ! but will post pictures when their done but could be a while off . Anybody seen Bengall blades like this before ?
