Nice, I hope you plan to clean it up and rescale maybe, and send more pictures when done =]

Saitou, No plans to replace the scales. Want to perserve the history. Someone sat down and handcarved these bits of wood, used some wire and the orignal lead spacer to keep the razor going. If the blade can hold an edge I will see if I can clean it up. jonmrson has indicated it can be saved most likely.

Shave Ready Straight Razors vintage by T R Cadman Sheffield superb matched pair. | eBay

i have just purchased these twins. what do you gentlemen think of them? i am a bit dissapointed at the lack of pattern engraving on them. do you think they're probably some of the last ones made before the factory shut down?

They look great! They seem to be in excellent condition and there is no reason to think they will not be stupendous shavers, as all Bengalls in good condition are.

    Congratulations!

Ordered off the classifieds about a week back. Waiting for my Mitchell's Wool Fat and Simpsons No. 46 to get in and give her a go. Figured that for my first shave, if I don't like it with this trio, I'll never enjoy it

    cheers

    Hi guys,
Can I join you? Here is my last restoration and first Bengall. Swedish 6/8 "Borlänge Maskinaffär". Probably made in the beginning of 20 century. Scales are a kind of bone but I don't know the origin. Please take a look at the grind is this full hollow or 1/2?
    Cheers!

Hi all, thanks for the excellent thread!
As I think someone here has said before, we in New Zealand / Australia get more than our fair share of Bengalls (it's by far the most common I've come across). I have a few to share, and will soon. However, for now I was wondering whether anyone could help me working out the below Bengall. It's an extra hollow and has cleaned up very nicely just with a lengthy hand sanding and polishing. However, it has no maker's mark on the tang, it's scales were a horrible cracked bakelight that someone had attempted to repair, and there was nothing to indicate maker or year. Any help much appreciated!

    From NZ as well.

I thought the Bengall trademark was registered to T R Cadman and sons so they should be the maker but if anyone knows better please correct me.
