This is a 1" Bengall I picked up from a guy in South Australia. I cleaned off the crud and fitted it with Australian hardwood scales (which seemed fitting considering the history) and a wedge from the hip bone of a kangaroo (ok its camel bone, but fifth generation Aussie)

That is perhaps one of the nicest razors I've seen.

A 6/8" bengall with a most unusual heel and Invicta scales. Not restored as I just rediscovered it.
I haven't seen one like this so far.

How about a Monday through Friday set in black acrylic with racing green acrylic spacer lined in copper, finished with bronze pins... My latest project.

how often to unhoned/mint Bengall's come onto the market? Don't know what it is about the Bengall's but they really do tickle my fancy. I know its silly, but i think its the imprinting between the shank and the spine!

I found one, it was a bit rough but it seriously looked as if it had never been honed, my current shaver. No box and far from mint but seriously doubt it have ever seen a stone in its life. I'd have a crack at being around 1940's-50's era.

Edit: This razor here in fact

Not sure, but could this be the oldest Bengall this far on this thread?

I thought my Spanish point was older than most Bengall's but that takes the cake with the double beauty of a stub tail also
