Thanked: 0I have a Thiers Issard. Don't know the exact name and model number or the length for that matter. But i can post a picture because i bought it on Artofshaving.com
Here it is..
As you can tell I am new to the sport of straight razor shaving. And I have the scars to prove it. Bought a honing stone(yellow couticle) figured can't do to much damage with something that will hone slowly. But as i have read above "outta the box they ain't worth a damn" seems tru to me. As i hone my skills on honing, it seems this razor is becoming better and better. Also as a beginer seem very comfortable to hold with it's weight being on the heavy side. Helps me to slow down and keeps me from lopping off an ear. Figured when purchasing the thought of something really light would cause me to rush and my face would endure the brunt of the mistakes.

Thanked: 4207Quite psyched to get my first TI in my collection. Not sure of the age of this vintage Le Dandy but I will treat her well if she treats me the same, hehe.

Just went through this thread, I now want, and need a Thiers Issard Crown Silverwing, absolutely stunning...I think the odds on getting one are right beside the odds of getting a DD Grim Reaper. That Thiers Issard Crown Silverwing is gorgeous, and if I had to pick between the two, think I'd go for that Crown Silverwing....wow.
Here are my two, with pics this time:

I´m selling almost all my straights right now (mostly Heljestrand) and buying TI´s from now and then.
One model it seems hard to find these days are vintage Special Coiffeur 1937 69 médaille d'argent.
Why is it like that? Le Dandy is very easy to find in good condition.
