Before a few days i bought a Frederick Reynolds me too!It is a 7/8 at widest point, the blade is wedge with a custom scale. The seller told me that it was made in 1890's.I bought it for about 210$.
I want to ask you if you have more information about his age or anything else you know. Also if it was a good purchase for the money i spent for it .It was very difficult to find a F.R in a excellent condition like this.
Finally to say I am very proud for having a F.R and his shaving is fantastic!

Thanked: 884Here's my pair.
The big one in the back is a wonderful shaver. Still dialing in the silver steel as it was a 7/8 snaggle tooth when I got it. It's closer to a 6/8 now.
Here's the before I started making it lighter with about halfway through the agony in the lower half pic.

Here's my only example of a pure wedge FR. She's the only one I have in the collection too!
It's as wedgie a wedge as ever there was, and a real bear to hone. It was horribly pitted, and still has some remainders that will be there forever. I used it in a SOTD some months back, but you can tell she's obviously a FR. This one happens to have been rescaled in custom micarta.
Add me to the club!!

My wedge is OK, but I really like the faux frameback models.

Reynolds Rat Pack
Okay, I'll add mine. It's a great shaver when I've got the edge dialed in!
There are many roads to sharp.
