It has excessive hone wear. I hope you didn't pay much for it!

Nice little find tseppish. Nice scales. engine46 is right though, it does appear to have excessive hone wear to the spine. Certainly worth the effort to try to clean it up. Post some more photos once it's had some TLC.
There were several blades in the collection, and the whole cabinet was 40% off, and it was originally about 50 or so. There was also a couple of Keen Kutters, but they were 75 sticker price, and in about the same condition. I really want to give them some attention and get some razors to make an actual rotation. I also got a Lewis Razor, The M.L. Brandt cutlery company, and a Keen Kutter branded honing stone that is in nearly perfect shape. Any suggestions on where to start with a restoration?
tseppish, you could actually search for some with broken scales but a good blade or post a wanted ad in the classifieds here! You never know...........
That is how I found the other piece to the puzzle on my W&B Lord Byron. The seller posted a message back to my wanted to buy on here but it was after the day I went down on my Harley so i didn't see it until not long ago. I sent the person a message but got no reply so I sent an email. Meanwhile I just happened to be on eBay & one popped & i won it. It turns out the person emailed me back on here & said it just sold on eBay. I told her that I bet it mad me & gave her my name & it turns out that it was indeed the same one. What a coincidence!!!!!
Hey gents,
I have been working on making the razor look better so I could more accurately judge what it needs. Here is a photo of about how it looks now.

I am working on a Lewis Razor at the same time, and I have come to believe that the Boker is made of a harder steel. Some of the corrosion just will not come off! I have been using 1k and 2k sandpaper. Any suggestions out there?
I was wondering if I could impose on the Boker Brotherhood to help me identify this razor? When purchased I was told that it was a Boker Lancette, however I am not certain Boker ever manufactured a Lancette razor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Attachment 196079
