The Stub-Tailed Shavers
I noticed there is no group for the proud owners of ancient blades, and thought I would try to remedy the situation. The Stub-Tailed Shavers is a place to post those classic razors which stand out due to their short tails. They may not be the easiest to hold, but they are always a pleasure to shave with.
To get the ball rolling, I've got a few shots of my smallest and largest blades. The Revitt (the second T is mostly worn off) was almost certainly reground; while some grind marks remain, enough attention was paid to the job to add a stylized, W&BBow-esque tip. The Savage had never been honed before I bought it (or so I was told), and had been fully restored. As a result, there are some remains of pitting and a bit of staining, but there is ZERO spine wear and the blade retains her full width as a nearly-true wedge.
I do have some others, but I don't really like to post pictures of blades unless I'm quite certain I'll be holding onto them.
