Great looking razor and the scales or superb. I am digging the shell inlay in the scales, was it difficult to do?

It wasn't AS bad as you think. More nerve wracking you know, HOPING it turns out ok"after the CA sets, before the final polish " cause the camels bone is the hardest thing I've worked with yet!

You were right there, that one a belta also. I've worked with cow horn before but never with bone or rams horn. I have some bone for my next razor and fancy inlaying something. I'll be well happy if mine turns out anything like yours.

Thank You 😊 I try really hard to keep them as era correct as possible. It makes me respect the craftsman that made these razors with more limited tools than me, and STILL doing BEAUTIFUL work!

The makers marks represented in Gales & Martin are pretty specific to the detail, so you'd have to see the mark in entirety without additional things. My off-the-top-of-my-head guess for that mark would be French.
