    I don't know if that was a seven day set or what but it seams I have number one of that set. I'm sure you know this but they are from 1830-1837 since they are from King William IV era. What a coincidence.

    Excellent! I'd be more keen to think it was a pair; I've often seen cased pairs from that era where the numbers 1 and 2 were pressed in brass into the scales like that, but have not really seen numbered 7-day sets until later.

    That would even be better if they were in sets of two!

    Default My latest Greaves

    I just got this one from the bay just the other day & was in yesterdays mail. It is pretty old with the stubby tail. My guess is around 1820-1830

    Probably a bit earlier. Note the lack of "& Sons", and it is definitely pre-Sheaf Works which opened in 1823. I'd peg this one much closer to the turn of the century.

    +1...I agree pre-1823. I have one exactly like it but with horn scales.

    The history back that far is murky, but it looks like it became Greaves & Sons in 1807, so the 'W. Greaves' razors are quite early.
