Bandman, you have a leach on your scales! Better salt that!

I have one of those as well. Any idea if they were marketed to doctors?

Barbers used to double as doctors and surgeons. Somewhere there is a photo of a barber's price listing that includes bleeding and/or leeching (I don't quite remember).

Took some time to find one, but I love my Greaves!

Delighted with this one, an absolute monster wedge, an e bay find restored by Max. Shaves so sweetly!

Not sure if this is someone elses work or what but the stamp reads
    E J EYRE & Co
    LATE W GREAVES & SONS
    SHEAFFIELD

Being a later (I think) wedgeless horn scaled chopper I'm assuming this is at the end of the Greaves line. Intriging razor with a Palm tree and the shield saying "Palmetto Razor" I'm happy

Eyre took over Greaves, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the ones thay say "Late Greaves" and the ones that don't... maybe leftover Greaves blanks?

Personally I think this would really nail down a "Date of Manufacture" one of those useless bits of knowledge I tend to run after I forsee many hours going over Greaves and Eyre razors
