You have certainly done quite a bit of research on this. I think that's great! I love mine, and definitively wouldn't mind getting another (since they are so cheap!).

How many do you have now?

I only have 4.. And I let one go today. It looked exactly like the one in Manah's picture in this thread except it was a round point and didn't have a monogram on the scales. I also had to watch one go the other day as the seller only shipped to the US. But it looked very bad though so maybe it was for the better. Since I started shaving with a straight razor I have only seen 3 Jonathan Crookes razors and 4 Brookes & Crookes razors for sale anywhere.. I'm not looking to buy all the Crookes razors out there though.. But if I see one that I don't have and it's in ok shape I'd rather buy that than any other razor in the same price range.

What makes the crookes razors so special?

    They have a cool name.

There isn't anything inherently special in any of the razor clubs, they are just places where fans of a given brand or style of razor can proudly post pictures and drool over others' razors.

I like the logo of the gun shooting out a heart. I mean, it's a great shaver and all, but we've got all sorts of razors giving great shaves. What makes the razor itself so special? Like all other great razors it has personality. Or at least that why I like mine so much...it makes shaving time fun.
