I was able to get some half decent light today to take a few photos of the new Buddel. It's now going to get put away until 1st Nov which is my 46th birthday. I'll then be having a very special birthday shave with it.

Default So how do these beauties shave?

They're gorgeous, and from an area known for wonderful blades. You guys that have multiple customs - what's the scoop. Do they shave better than a Genco? A Robert Williams?, a Zowada? It's certainly legit to want the beauty & craftsmanship - but are the shaves much better than, say, a $250-300 wacker? Would like to know.

Well I've got a Buddel, two Robert Williams, a Josh Earl and a Mastro Livi. I also have a Zowada in the post. I can't answer if they shave any better than a Wacker as I've never used a Wacker. One of the best shaving straights I have is a Wostenholm frameback. It gives a magnificent shave. Do these shave any better than that? No, I don't think so. Having said that, they are all excellent shavers though.
But owning a custom razor isn't just about the shave quality. It's about having an individual piece of craftsmanship in your hands that someone has put alot of effort into making. Have a look at an Alex Jaques custom straight. They are things of beauty and so individual. I can't wait to get one of them one day.
A Toyota Yaris will get me to work as fast as an S65 AMG Mercedes but I know which one I'd rather drive

Gabor is apparently not taking new orders right now. He told me to contact him again in about one month. I would like to request that everyone cease from posting any more pics or opinions on these gorgeous custom razors as it seems to be increasing the demand.
