    New member here , Peafowlguy , Brian , that aside , I just aquired , yesterday , a straight i am having trouble identifying , its 7 / 16th , less than 4 / 8ths anyway , French Point , Single Stabilizer , Quarter Hollow , one side of blade reads , Garantie , '' spelled that way '' , under that is the last letters of ,
    BIS or RIS , same side of blade are numbers 42 , reverse of blade is a circle with letters and numbers inside of circle HB520 . since we are in the small blade club I thought I would post this straight here . any and all help appreciated .

    Welcome to SRP, these high quality French razors with the trademark 42 Garantie/ HB520 are from Henri Beligné, and later & sons (et Fils). This firm was founded in 1610, in Langres, Haute Marne France. For many years recognize as the "Coutelier du Roi" (Cutler to the King) still in Business today and still a family business with the 13th generation of Beligné running the firm. In good condition this is without any doubt a high quality razor from a very reputable firm.
