Adolf Hitler 9/16 Carl Melchior Auction
This will be an auction starting at $100. Please read and understand the auction rules before bidding.
Though I'm sure this item may bother some it is historically significant. I've only found two other examples of it on many google searches. This razor was probably made in the 1930's. It's a 9/16 blade with a round point made by Carl Melchior & Co. it's in good condition with some light pitting. It's not shave ready. The "French Ivory" scales are in near perfect condition.
Shipping is $6 in the US. Please ask for international quote.

"French" ivory, is that "Faux" Ivory scales?
Which is celluloid...
And agreed, huge historical significance, never seen one till now.

Yes. They're celluloid made to look like ivory. I use the word French ivory because it specifically implies that it's made from celluloid. Faux only implies that it's not genuine ivory. It could be made of other materials and still be faux ivory.

Thanked: 38Truly fascinating razor. I need this to complete my Stalin, Mussolini, and Hirohito razor set! Your post says to read and understand auctions rules before bidding. Where do I find those rules?

Not bidding, but found a thread on Melchoir.
Seems definitely pre-war Germany.
