Spikes/Wedge were made by Union Razor 1902, later Union Cutlery, and even later Ka-Bar, 1952

Spikes were made between 1921 and 1951. Some tangs were blued. Interesting that yours is pinned collarless, I have seen them both ways, with and collarless. Spikes and Wedges appear identical, except for the tang stamp and stamp on the scale. Spikes appear a bit more common than Wedge razors. Both Spike and Wedge were registered trademarks of Union Cutlery.

They also made a Golden Spike and Golden Wedge, gold plated tang with Green translucent scales, most of those I have seen have kicked off with cell rot. And a Special Spike with fancy Bolsters on both ends in Faux Ivory scales. I have not seen a Special Wedge.

Great shavers and a nice size for trimming beards.

I DID say it reminded me of Union Cutlery in the description. I'm just that good!
Its sad but true about the Golden versions. I have kept my eyes open for a high quality version for a very long time, and its rare to find them at all, forget about without a frown half way up the belly, or completely obliterated by rot.
