Default An ebay razor ( no not a Gold Dollar) review.

so i am an ebay addict and for about 8 months a staright razor user with a mild case of RAD and like any junkie i must find a fix for my problem. now this would not be a problem if i was loaded or had plenty of dispossable income so i have to find a substitute. this led me to buy a razor on ebay called the "gladiator's blade" and at $60 plus shipping and handling i decide it wasn't that big of a gamble. today i received the blade and here it is my review.

Seems as though you didn't think much of it.

Sorry I had to stop, but here I continue. Now let's look at the geometry of the blade
It is advertised as a 7/8 but it comes at about 15/16 (24.6) which is a nice surprise to me. The cutting edge is a bit less than 2 3/4" or 6.6mm should make it really maneuverable.
The total length of the blade is less than 6" (15cm)
The spine is under 1/5 or just under 5mm ( now this might be a problem.) Here are some pictures

Now here are the cons or what I perceive to be negative
1 the razor has a thin spine for the size of the blade which makes its bevel wide and looks kind of funky. On top of that the bevel is a little uneven.
2 the finish of the blade leaves something to be desired. It is polish almost mirror smooth but grinding marks still present. The lettering could have been done better.
3 the scales are too sharp; rounded edges could improve the feel and a heavier material could be nice.
(more to come in about 5 hours probably a video)

Only one question, with those flaws how does it shave?

You might be surprised, uneven funky looking bevels can shave. Good luck.

Before the shave here is what I like
    Price $60
Looks and size: the slight hump on the spine which reminds me a little bit to one of my favorite looks on razors some harmonica and ator razors. The file work on the back although rustic looks the part.
