Hey - probably some have seen this, couldn't resist asking, what's your opinion of this razor '-)

Who needs a light-sabre when you can have, "the blade of a Damascus steel sword was said to be able to cut a piece of silk in half as it fell to the ground and was strong enough to cut through a rock without losing its sharpness."

    Description:

Hommage, the Parisian purveyor of luxury grooming equipment, skincare and spa services for men, has created a limited edition, platinum-sheathed straight razor using the same ancient layering techniques as the Crusaders' swords.

    Here's the link:

The World's Most Expensive Razor for $30,000

Anyone have an extra $30,000 laying around?

    Cheers!

Damascus steel razors aren't that rare. And id like to know more about who made it. If its some knife and sword maker, who has no experience making razors trying to make a little more money, no thanks.

Although if it promised to make my breakfast and do my laundry, that ain't a bad price.

I was shocked at how ugly that is. Just... damn.

One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

I bought one of those, but my wife kept using it in the kitchen and eventually lost it.

That price might seem high, but you have to remember that a tiny little paddle strop and a storage box are included.

There have been threads on that deal over the past few years. Either they made more than one, or they haven't found the mark to buy the one they have yet.......

$30k for a razor, a little, small piece of steel? That's just dumb.

Especially considering you can buy 30 or more Livi razors for that chunk of change. And those are pieces of art IMO. This one does not look to be anything really special.

Thanks Jimmy - figured this had been discussed before. In my books, a razor like that is for someone who has too much money, maybe Bernie Madoff uses it to shave his husband in prison!?!
