Yeah, I did find the AC available for very close to the Proline price. Schick still has not gotten back to me and I have not had time to call them. I'm glad to hear the Schick blades are in fact different from the Feather in that they are not as sharp and they are interchangible, which seems to be the only complaint for the feather may be solved.....
Now, I wonder if one of our members with a shop may have interest in becoming a dealer for the Proline, which may bring the price more in line.

Thanked: 21I don't know if this is resolved quite yet. Maybe the Proline are Feather Pro Supers, or something like that, which many find more comfortable than the Pros.
What are the hole patterns like in the Proline blades? Do they match the Feather pattern??

Thanked: 0How do you load the blades into the Proline 30? I inherited one with hundreds of extra blades but can't figure out how to load the silly thing!

I ordered a sampling of different blades from them Sunday evening and early Monday morning already shipped. A bit expensive "by the each" unless you figure you want to try a couple blades of different manufacturers, rather than committing. I have a drawer full of different blades that I am not enthusiastic about, but this way, if you "really" like a brand/offering that feels right you can order full containers and not have blade you simply don't like sitting around.

Turn Folding Feather into a stright Japanese handle razor?
Has anyone ever tried turning the folding Feather SS into a straight inline handle Japanese razor such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Feather-Japan...D5NHXT88CH1GZN
I have a machine shop, and was a Boeing drill press operator for years. Would be simple matter to drill a small hole thought the scales and tang, then insert a removable "pin" into the hole making the folder a non-folding and then shaving as a Japanese straight with a solid handle. Take out the pin and it becomes a folder again. I have always had issues with the holding of straight razors doing my left side of my face since I only use my right hand and hard to see what I'm doing. This way, I could then see again, like my DE razors.
This evening I drilled a small hole through both handle and blade tang (could be done on any folding razor) and inserted a tooth pick. One could also insert a small steel pin or brass, just as easy. This locks the handle into an open non-moving position. Illustrated in pics below:
