Has anyone ever used a Schick Proline?
I found this by accident searching online and I'm wondering if anyone has heard of it or tried it. It appears to be a less expensive Feather AC style.

A google search turned up nothing....

Also, its made in Japan.
I wonder wether the blades are made in Japan as well (which they likely are) and, if so, who makes them.

There appears to be some Japanese lettering to the right of the Shick logo on the main panel of the box. The razor does look a lot like a Feather AC. Hmm.....

Thanked: 21My barber uses one on napes. Looks a ton like a Feather, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were manufactured by Feather

I sent an email to Schick about them. Doubt I'll get a response. I figure I might call them next week. (not that I actually know how to use a straight yet, but...)
I wonder if the beauty supply selling them has any info on them.

Thanked: 0Proline/ Japan
I live in Japan and have a shick proline. The handle is cheaper than the Feather although other than price they are rather similar. The blades intended for the proline are shick proline blades , I have used them in the past and found them to be fairly smooth but not extremely sharp .
You all might be glad to know that the Feather professional (and super) blades are virtually identical and fit just as well as the stock blades.
In comparison the Feather blades are notably sharper , but the stock proline blades are a bit more forgiving to the novices face.
I use the Feather blades in a Shick handle now and find it to be a winning combination!
Try it out and let me know what you think,
Doug

I like this thread and am wondering if there is something even cheaper that will hold Feather blades. It doesn't matter if the scales will fall apart immediately as it would be a rescaling project. $75 is a bit too close to the RG and I believe that the RG can be bought for that price.
