Thanks. I was trying to make out what was inside the circle. I searched through a list of Solingen maker's marks looking for gate, fence, door, etc, but with no luck. La Porte translates as "the door" in French which adds to the puzzle. There are others here on the forum that have much better reference material that may stop by and help. My best guess is that your razor was made to order for a retailer for resale. The good news is that it is from Solingen which ensures that it was made to higher standards and should give you excellent service. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Can't help you, with info. but that's a nice razor! I really like three pin razors and 6/8 and stainless, yellow scales, with inlays...
