Thanked: 3164PM me Jimmy, I must have a hundred or more razors in a frightfully chronic condition hanging in my shed - er, that is what you meant, wasnt it?
Seriously though, I have seen plenty of eastern junk razors designed to confuse and part people with hard-earned cash, and some (here!) that I think Glen is referring to with the name buffed off, the blade reshaped and a poor etching applied to 'customise' them and pass them off as made by a friend in one cou try to the design of his friend from another country who is living in yet another country (ring any bells yet?), but nothing that you could properly term counterfeit.
In the old days in Sheffield there were some small makers who stamped their work with the names of more popular makers, but even so they made pretty decent razors that are head and shoulders above the dhbious flood of cheap modern razors from the east.
Regards,
Neil
