Very nice! I really like the gold on it

Can't wait for mine next week...I didn't shave yesterday (was too sick to bother) and I'm thinking of just waiting to shave until mine comes in!

The details on the blade itself are just great..had some light scratches on it probably from the honing.. And yes gents it did come shave ready.. I was skeptical.. Before I shaved I stropped on scrub leather 10 times and premium leather 20 times.. It shaved very smooth.. From what I have read they set the bevel by machine then finish by hand on a coticule.. It was a great shave.. I would recommend any body in the market for a new razor to take a look at the revisior I'm impressed!
I second that recommendation. There seems to be a default to Dovo or Boker when it comes to new razors, especially when recommending one to a new guy. But Revisor offers a great deal of quality razors with many different choices in style and size. You made a great choice.

One of these days soon I am gonna get one or two from Revisor. Their site is awesome sick, with LOTS of variety. I have never seen so many different razors in one place. Prices are okayish, too. Not great, maybe, but realistic. If I could justify it, I would buy a whole basket of assorted razors from them! (My Dad might get a little irritated, though!)

Then again I just saw a Bismarck for $132 on SRD! Mine cost $160 when it was new, shortly before I acquired it.

I'm a big fan of the square tip. Dovo and Boker mostly offer round. The nice thing about Revisor is that you can choose anything from 4/8-7/8, square or round tip, shoulder or not, and different scale options.

For a while I've been admiring the elegance of blades with a very straight pattern and a square point, so I ordered one of these.

They've been very quick so far too - I put my order in Sunday evening, my invoice with PayPal details was here early Monday morning and I paid right away, and early this morning I got notification it has shipped together with a tracking number.

With a bit of luck I'll be shaving with it in a few days!

It arrived today - 5 days from Germany to the UK is good.

The razor is very nice, but its not shave-ready - it isn't tree-topping arm hairs very well, and the bevel isn't quite set right back to the heel, so I'll have to do a bit of honing before I use it. But overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

No, not yet - I won't have any spare whiskers until at least tomorrow.

Mine was not. Under a microscope the edge was not very happy looking. I needed to reset the bevel. This is the one I got.
