Thanked: 284I think they just laser etch their name on it - I'm sure it's the same razor. The real question is if you want that strop and cream. I have that strop and personally love it, but it is sold as several different brands for much cheaper. Look on royalshave.com and it's sold under the 30 degree brand.
I love living in the past...

My foolish and uninformed entry into straights started with an AoS branded Dovo Meister's. Beautiful razor, but the price was high, the AoS etching on the blade off-putting, and it was NOT shave ready at all. Additionally, the small Dovo hanging strop they sold me was 85 USD. At least a 100% markup from what they got it for. After some work on the razor, I managed to take the factory edge off and reset the bevel and get it shaving like a dream, but the stainless was a BEAST to hone (for me, when compared to carbon, but I'm also the most novice of novices when it comes to honing).
Long story short: When SRD has what you're looking for in stock, they will always be the better deal. Razors come professionally honed by 2 of the best in the business, and you get a free second hone. They are additionally the only online retailer I know of that will allow you to come to their shop and pick stuff up if you're in the area. AoS peddles in some of the best razors out there, but they laser etch them all with their brand, and charge you about 40-50 USD for the privilege. My local PX carries some of their stuff, and I've picked up a bottle or two of pre-shave oil, and I LOVE their sandalwood AS balm, but I won't be buying another one of their razors.
