I'm in the same boat. I was given an el-cheapo straight razor, Knowing that that razor is pretty bad I've been researching for a better blade.

Dovo and TI both get good reviews.

The TI they have on that site is a basic black and you might be able to get it cheaper.

I'm personally looking at the Basic black ‘Le grelot form’ ‘Basic Black’ razor, It's £88 in the uk.

It's shoulder-less, And had a deeper thumb grip. But it's made out of the same carbon steel as the one's on TAOS. It is not a full hollow razor however and will take longer to hone.
