Thanked: 1184Flip a coin. They are both good razors. Price does not matter if your going to use 1. If your looking to get rich foget it :<0).
Which 1 looks the best to you? THAT is all that matters at this point.
The one with the etch is going to be harder to make shine and save the etch.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

First and foremost Everything about this Art involves PATIENCE!!! If you don’t have patience then this art isn’t for you!
My standard counsel to those that are new is to stay the hell away from FleaBay for at least 6-8 months and perhaps a year. This allows them to be better educated about what to look for and what to avoid!!
Pixel gave you good counsel! Pictures tell a lot about razors so that others can offer their ‘opinions’! And they are just that ‘opinions’!
Now onto value: ‘Value’ is in the eyes of the beholder! One man’s ‘pride and joy’ may be another man’s ‘piece of crap’!!
Some of the guys really love large heavy Sheffield’s, other don’t like them at all! I have a 6/8 near full wedge made in Sheffield that was my great grandfather’s and I like the shave, but it’s not my favorite shaver! I do use it and it does a good job, it’s just not one of the razors I ‘prefer’!
Sanfte Rasur, mein Klingenbruder!
(Smooth Shaving My Brother In Blades)Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

The Improved Eagle is liked by many that have them,
if I had to choose just one I would get the John Engstrom Frame back but that is me.
If you have not tried a frame back even more reasons
The rest of your questions cannot be answered on the open forum and would only be speculation IMO.It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

Perhaps you should just speculate, buy the one you like, then put it up for sale and see what happens.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
