Thanked: 3164That is obviously the time window, being the dates of operation of the two related companies that owned the brand, Bresduck (1939-47), which became part of Pearlduck til 1952. The earlier, original razors were made at the Brummel Werk factory in Solingen and distributed in the US by Bresnick and others. When taken over by Pearlduck the "Brummel-werk" id was left off, which will tell you the age within a slightly smaller time frame.
