Damn, no wonder all the razors and nickels I have been sending keep getting returned unopened - I got your address as:

    Hirlau
    South Florida
    USA

I guess I should have added the Miami bit, but its such a tiny place I felt sure that they would all know you...dohh!

After I made that post, later I actually got a little concerned that some newbie would mail a razor to the above address; I pictured some intake clerk & his supervisor at the South Florida regional postal hub in Opa Locka, staring at the box asking each other, "Who the h*ll is this Hirlau?"

All my letters addressed 'Santa, North Pole' get through, though... I asked for £20 last year, but my letter came back with only £10 in it, so maybe those rotters at the sorting hub robbed me...?

Don't worry you're well known to all the authorities in Florida. They know your address backwards.

Hi rmisale- Hope you've gotten some useful information out of the responses. If you get a shot, swing on by the honing threads and also read the library which is linked at the top of this page. Lots of good info there. I'm not a pro honer but enjoy learning on some stones I have. From what I know, it would take ages to get sharp off that 8k (I'm not that patient ) and that 12k is more for a finish on your blade. If you have the opportunity, purchase another razor that you can compare to your pro-honed one to. I'm a long way off from being a honer like the guys around here but I'm having a heck of a lot of fun chasing them.
