I'd go with the Bismarck as the vendor has already put it aside for you and , I just checked the W and B and the edge looks a bit "nibbly", might take
some work to bring it to shave-ready.

It only caught my eye as everyone on here says what good shavers they are. I love the Joseph Rodgers blades which are very similar in looks and are also cracking shavers.

I found the Bismarck on the site mentioned whilst ogling an Ern's Platypus and saw the price, very decent for a new Bismarck! And at 7:20 am my wife came up trumps and said she'll get the wade and butcher for me. Boom!

I think you chaps are right. Not simply because the very nice chap said he'd pop one away, but it's one I want for my collection/rotation.

Have I mentioned I love my wife? I'll get it cleaned up and honed in the new year.

Thanks for the reply guys, I didn't expect my wife to be so OK hence asking about one or the other think she's forgotten about the JR&S I'm bidding on. RAD, it's a terrible affliction

Poorly written reply above. Edited rather than quote.

I'd discounted the wade and butcher in favour or the Dovo which I've wanted for a while and would be able to use as soon as I receive it as the chap hones all new razors to shave ready for free.

As I was closing the laptop I said to my wife I was plumping for the dovo. She asked how much the W&B was and bought it for me seeing as they don't come up often. I'll forgive her the tube of Trumpers and use of my other creams I think.

I'm one fortunate guy. We're slimming down on Christmas gifts this year due to impending baby, opting to save and buy baby related items instead.

There will be pics, oh yes, there will be pics

If you aren't up to the task of restoring I'd get the Bismark. I have a few W&B razors and the Bismark. They are both nice shavers. You could get them both, that's what I did ;-)
That's what appears to have happened here

The broken razor is just one I've seen, they come up so rarely in blighty it was just an example of what does come up. I wouldn't want a cracked razor full of bad pitting

I know. Think I may lay off for a bit though. Don't want to push my luck.
