Help.....I can't decide
Right,
Spoke with the very nice chap at Taylor's 1000 this evening and he's hanging onto a dovo Bismarck for me, new with pearl scales. All in all a sexy razor.
I've just been on da bay and seen a wade and butcher. Needs work but for the right price would be worthwhile.
I'm stumped. The Bismarck looks very cool and I love a shave with my special but it's a wade and butcher.
What, if anything would you guys do?Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on!

I'd get the Wade and Butcher...a Bismarck will come up a lot faster at a decent price that a W&B....took me awhile to find a Bismarck, but much, much longer to find the W&B that I was looking for. And then ofcourse, a new member here just had a real hard to find W&B given to him...go with the W&B in my opinion.
If you want some opinions on it, there are many here who can give you an excellent take on the blade you're considering....just my two cents!

Thanked: 4826Well if you want to collect broken razors there are lots of those. It is all about what fits your face. I'd be hard pressed on that choice too. If you aren't up to the task of restoring I'd get the Bismark. I have a few W&B razors and the Bismark. They are both nice shavers. You could get them both, that's what I did ;-)
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Can you post the item #? Hard to give advice without properly inspecting.

Thanked: 154I would honor my agreement with the vendor who put a razor aside for me, possibly missing out on another sale in the process. I would get the Bismarck.

Thanks for the replies guys. I still plan to have the Bismarck. I just came into an extra, small, bit of money which wasn't expected. Means I can have one while I could, in theory, still get the other when I planned to.
It's item 350948615624 on eBay UK. Celebrated hollow ground with a bit of rust but £25. Can't really say no to that.
