Certainly I'll save the old parts, but I don't care for the funky smell of that plastic.
Shave report #2:
I finished removing a nick from the Windsor/Black Steel razor and set the bevel, finished on coticule. It's sharp, and shaves, but I think it's kind of harsh and bitey. I did two passes with Black Steel, then cleaned up with Mr. Maher & Grosh. The M/G edge feels more "clean" and forgiving.
I've not got my finishing "routine" dialed in yet, and maybe those steels are that different.
I'm all happy about the Toledo Sheffield, which is now, indeed, Set Ready To Use and it won't be sold (I plan to redistribute a few when i get 'em more sorted). It's now top dog of my quiver.Last edited by WadePatton; 12-17-2013 at 04:48 AM.
