Thanked: 14Congrats- You have a great razor which will give you smooth shaves. I have two Wilhelm Noel Amor razors, a 5/8 in faux tortoise shell and a 6/8 in translucent red scales, both of them extra hollow "singing" razors with thin blades that take a good edge. Both of my Noel razors look just like your blade and are among my favorite razors, a pleasure to use, easy to hold, easy to strop and give smooth comfortable shaves. Both are quality blades with obvious excellence in craftsmanship, fit and finish. I like the curved design of the shoulder area sweeping back into the tang. Enjoy

Thanked: 0Thx!
Thr razor is sent to King, maybe some of you guys know him, he is Croatian that makes custom brushes.
He was the one that suggested me to buy this razor on Croatian auction web page. When he saw it, his first comment was that it is in better shape than it looks on pictures.

Seiko,
That's good that you're getting it honed by an experienced person and starting with a good shave ready edge.
I meant to reference the 2 links below in my signature line in the other post and forgot to. They both have some really good info in them that should help with that first shave. Ones an article and the other a video.
Take it easy and don't get the angle of the blade too high, that can and usually does result in a cut. Good prep and angles are all covered in the links below.
