I would say hang onto it. If you find someone near you that does honing they may do it for free. It might be good for hard to reach places :<0) I have a Styledge I have never honed. If I had, I could give you an opinion. Maybe in the near future I will. You have peeked my interest in it.

I found a D Duck Dwarf that has similar scales the blade had a large chunk out of it. I also had a boker Red Injun 100 that needed scales. put the two together and I like the way it shaves. not a collectors item but shaves good. you might find a blade that fits the scales. I never through good scales away. just a thought.
