Thanked: 24I'd have wet my pants over finding those pocket knives. Especially so knowing they belonged to a relative so far back. Now, you get to shave with his razors. I love stories like these. What if these turned out to be his grandfather's? Thought provoking isn't it.
Nice find.

Thanked: 1Well, after talking to my mom, she seems to think it actually is another generation back. Because Uncle Frank would have been born around 1900. So they probably did belong to his dad. Unfortunately, most of the knives are useless. They are rusty and have broken blades. I cleaned up two of the DE's last night and they are going to make nice shavers too. I decided to clean up the W&B straight more extensively. I unpinned the blade and have been buffing it up. There is still a little patina that I can't get out without doing some serious sanding but it's starting to look good. I'm going to make some new pins today and put it back together. I'll post some pics up when I do.
