Thanked: 0I'm thinking of getting this TI 1937 6/8" as my first razor. I am currently practicing with a Dovo shavette. I can't decide between this and the Ralf Aust 5/8" from SRD. How's the build quality with this razor? Is it worth the extra $30 over the Ralf?

Thanked: 0Thanks for your comments. Is the TI 6/8" really 6/8"? I've heard people get the 5/8" version and they measured it out to 6/8".

Thanked: 6I just shaved with a brand new 5/8 Special Coiffeur that I received from The Classic Edge and I have to say that I loved it.
Even if it's not a huge difference in the grind compared to a Full Hollow that I have it does feel different... I can't exactly pin point how different it feels, but it does... It is a beautiful razor!

Thanked: 0I wonder if the 6/8 from classicedge.ca are restored vintage, new old stock or something else. I got mine today. Looks brand new, the box, little pouch and the razor itself. Beautiful shaver, worked even better then my SilverWing. But that might be only due to the "shave ready" differences between places I bought them from.
