Default Thiers Issard 1937 Special Coiffeur 6/8"

I received my Thiers Issard 1937 Special Coiffeur 6/8" from SRD a couple of days ago. I really like it. It gave me a good shave and I like the feel of it in my hands. Any one else have one?

I don't have one, but I was thinking about it, it's a full hallow, right?

The SRD website nor the thiers issard box actually says it's full hollow but it appears to be.

Well maybe it is half hollow. I never considered that when I bought it. I'd recommend buying one. SRD still has them.

Half hollow's are a good middle of the road blade to start out with - I started with the Dovo Best Quality 1/2 hollow and still really like it. You get the keeness of a hollow and the horsepower of a wedge...all around great blade IMO.

I got the same from classicedge together with the paddlestrop. So far love it. It's been a month by now and since I got it i'm shaving daily with it.
    Enjoy

I have one also. It is in fact an awesome 1/2 hollow. Great balance and handling

What 1937 Special Coiffeur is meant here? The old 1/2 Hollow Version from the 30s-60s or the actual Version that is more 3/4 - 1/1 Hollow? I Have both and they only share the Name with each other, the Shaving Characteristics of the old and the new are dcompletly different IMO.

I have one in 5/8 and it's a nice little shaver.

    Cheers.
