I checked and saw no recent threads on this, so I thought I'd ask.
i have 5 now...1 from 30 years ago, and 4 since resuming in June. I always think I'm done, then I browse around this site and wind up going shopping on-line.

Not enough! KEN
3 shavers (Revisor Gold, Dubl Duck Dwarf, Clauss USMC) 1 cheaply that I'm using to learn to hone with, and an Army & Navy that I'm slowly restoring. My goal is to have nice rotation of razor from all different places and ages.
14, all i will ever need for the rest of my life.
Somewhere in the 30-50 range?
I originally thought 14 like pixelfixed stated. Unfortunately my RAD did me in. I've sold off five, given one away, have several I'm not counting because I'm not sure about them yet, which leaves me with a rotation of thirty (!). Four are at cud's for edges and when I get them back I will draw up a list of make and style and post it here (been meaning to list and post for awhile anyway). Mainly one of a kind except for C-MON and Bengall and Geneva(Genco).
Thanks Haroldg48 for staring this show and tell thread.
Put me down for two hundred razors.............
Not at home to count exactly, but only around 10 or so. Seems like I buy and sell a lot to hone in on ones that provide the best shave. My plan anyway is to learn those edges such that they provide fantastic shaves, then really only dabble here or there when I find razors I like.
This is prophetic - I'll look back on this post a year from now and laugh when I've bought 50 more.
Most times, not enough and at others too many. All depends on who you ask in my house...lol
I still only have one. I don't know how many times I have been on the verge of buying more but then my sense has taken over, luckily. It would be nice with more but I don't want to spend to much money at once. But some day it will grow to more than one.
I am interested in buying a few razors and hones to start to learn how to hone but it's quite a lot of money we are talking about then. A cheaper option is using the straight I have and try to refresh it myself on my Zulu Grey for as long as I can and then starting to look in to another razor and some more hones.
I have seven. 3 M. Jung; 1 Ralf Aust; 1 Dovo; 1 Gisen & Forsthoff; 1 Monopol. That can change at any time.
Ebay is an evil place full of too many deals.
Up to November I had 1. Then I gambled on a cheap vintage no brand for honing practice. Then my wife got me a Dovo bismarck for Christmas.
Since Christmas, I have picked up 2 more vintage bismarcks, And a Joseph Elliot. And the problem is I want a full 7 day bismarck set....
So I'm up to 6 with plans to take that to 10. And that's provided that I then don't go and start to look at another model or make of razor to play with.
The wife has actually been very supportive. Provided I stick to a budget of about £40 a month she's pretty happy. I don't drink and she says it's my evenings out that I have saved :D
In rotation: I usually fluctuate between 6-8... am currently at 6... and am considering cutting back to 5.
In the 'waiting for restoration' pile: somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 (haven't gone through it in a little while). Living in a townhouse means I have to limit my work with greaseless compounds to warmer months when I can grind and polish away out on the back deck. So I typically only crank out 3 or 4 restorations a year...
Four. Stayed at two for a number of years, and just recently doubled my inventory.
One is pro-honed: my benchmark razor. Two are honed by me to my best level yet, and one is troubling me slightly but nearly there. I call this state I affairs just right!
This is kind of embarrassing. There was a post about barbers hones the other day that caused me to count and consider. 74 collected in very good to mint condition and 16 on the bench. Sort of makes me feel a little over indulgent. Perhaps its time for a web site or some classified ads.
High 200's
Too Many!

:hmmm: not to bad for my 8th month in to this LOL
Yeah, picked up 25ish razors in the last 2 months....overall no clue, counting might lead to me admitting I have an addiction.
On second thought...
Hello, my name is Dennis and I am a razor addict.
I'm happy at the moment since I don't know offhand how many I have.
Thats what happens when you run out of fingers (and toes) to count on :-P
I wonder how much money some of the RAD victims on this site have spent on this hobby. Would be interesting to know, well maybe not for them :p
23 blades plus one 7 day set which take it to 24....
I see it like guns etc, razors dont devalue, unless you have an oops moment, shave with one for years and it can actually gain value
22. I keep a small rotation. I have owned around 100 in the last couple years. I love them, and leave them, keeping only a select few in my "permanent" rotation.
As of today? 17.
but i'm just getting started.
I would guess that I have renewed about 200± straights and sold a few and shaved with well over 150 different ones. I have another 60 or so to renew and have a few unobtainiums that I really like, not to be sold. earliest is ~1814. I also have renewed about 80 or so safety razors and shaved with all of them, and a few of them are unobtainium and not to be sold. Earliest is 1880
If i can't see it, I do not own it so I display all of my renewed razors.

PS, I do live alone and can splurge in a small home.
PPS. The post above by the gentleman who is setting a budget is a winner over the long haul and then by only buying within that budget.
I have 33 in the rotation and 16 waiting to be sold plus 6 on the way... 2 razors that are 8/8 are stuck in the blizzard of the north... Waiting for usps to deliver them
10 more that are blade only waiting for shoes
Ahem, uh 80 or so.
104. Or is it 106... No wait its 109. God knows ;-)
10 shave-ready, and probably half a dozen, give or take a few, in various states of less-than-shave-ready. If I have 14
Great shavers that are all somewhat unique or interesting to me, I'd be happy to stop there... Or at least that's what I tell myself.
I have about 30 in 3 short years. some I like some I just have. I also have about 10 safety razors and about 30 DE razors. I keep saying I am done, but I fall into some great deals and just cant say no.
I have had hundreds... now I only have two. Both are exactly the same.
I am on the prowl for another custom to add... who to go to?
Here is a hint: http://straightrazorpalace.com/gener...-spending.html
I have 18 in rotation, 7 waiting for scales. 2 I really need to get done because they're so pretty!
A 7/8 ERN round point and a 13/16 Frederick Reynolds hump back, faux frameback.
I need to stop turning things on my lathe!! :)
In my collection I have about 160 straight razors and, of course, I will say what others gentlemen said on this regard: not enough! :-)
