Nice work! That is from Mr. Turner's brilliant work as he moved to Mass and exercised his name before the whole deal was done. Soon after, he became head of Torrey. I would say with all certainty it was made at the 'new' Torrey razor works. His work from Conn was mostly spent for Torrey Production before he was lured to Mass and joined up. All of Torrey's production is owed to him. Torrey was a stropmaker before he entered. The man was a genius.
That one is a narrow piece of history. Neat!Last edited by sharptonn; 02-20-2014 at 04:01 AM.

BobH, that is a great looking razor. I can definitely see its lines in the Torreys now.

Thanked: 3222Yea that razor fits in a narrow time slot for sure, he only made razors under his own name a few short years IIRC. The man himself has a very interesting life history, amazing really all considered. The razor is very Sheffield like and not surprising as he learned his trade there as a boy before immigrating to the US later in life. Sweet shaver too as a bonus.

Got to be! Mr. Turner was Shefffield trained and with Mr. Colishaw's money made a few, even before then!
